music for Jaime

One of my favorite songs Jaime. I wish I could fix you.

When you try your best but you don't succeed
When you get what you want but not what you need
When you feel so tired but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse

And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
COULD IT BE WORSE?

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

And high up above or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try you'll never know
Just what you're worth

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

Tears stream down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down your face
And I

Tears stream down your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down your face
And I

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you.

Jaime's Biography

Jaime is a 30 year old Lyme patient that lives in Ohio. One of the top Lyme doctors in the world believes that Jaime was born with Lyme Disease after Jaime explained her father had Bartonella and committed suicide when Jaime was only 9 years old. Her mother was also diagnosed with Childhood Rheumatoid Arthritis and Lupus which are both red flags as possible Lyme Disease.

However even if Jaime wasn't born with Lyme Disease, she had two embedded ticks that were engorged on her back when she was 7 years old living in Texas. Her Dad burned them off with a Cigarette which as we now know is the worst way of removing a tick. Jaime had a few symptoms her whole life, but at the age of 19 her symptoms got really bad and she's continued to go downhill from there.

She has nearly every symptom of Lyme disease and co-infections. Unfortunately, she received 12 shots of Cortisone into her lower spine because her pain was so severe. They were driving from Ohio to Florida for a family vacation. She was so young and how could someone so young be in so much pain. She knew she would be unable to ride the 20 hours in the car with such pain so she begged her doctor for those shots.

Those shots disseminated everything. Jaime found out a month later that she had Lyme. It was too little too late. She has two young kids and tries to seem normal as she can for them.
Jaime's children have seen her come home from 7 different surgeries as her body keeps producing tumors. So they worry a lot that their mommy is going to die.

Jaime would love prayer for this all just to be gone. She desires that her body, mind and spirit be completely healed. The pain is something that is not even describable. Those Cortisone shots also activated dormant viruses all of which is horribly painful. She desires for her children to have peace in all of this. Please pray for her children.

Jaime now has a relationship with God and she is trying to raise her children in a Christian home. Her 7 year old daughter is getting there, but her son needs prayers for guidance towards God. She desires prayers for her husband too. He doesn't want to hear anything about her Lyme Disease or even God. Please pray to soften his angry heart because his thoughts are "if God was going to heal you he would have done it by now" Jaime has been sick since they were married and she knows that this is difficult for him. Jaime needs support and pray that God will send her the support she needs.

God has used Jaime to help thousands of people find doctors and help. Prior to getting diagnosed, she didn't know anything about Lyme. God has blessed her with very compassionate children. Before she got too sick, they would delivery Meals on Wheels with her. They would also make jewelry together and raise money for people with Cancer. Once they raised $500 for a 5 year old boy whose medications cost $1,000 a day. So they see others who are sick too, not just their mommy and love to reach out to others who are hurting just as much as Jaime does.

As an online friend of Jaime, I have watched her faith grow ten fold. Please pray for my dear friend. Thanks to everyone who is involved in this Online Ministry for Lyme Disease Patients.

(There will be a post coming soon in which I put all of the April Biographies in one post for review).

Prayer for Melody

Lord I ask for your healing touch upon Melody as she struggles with treating Lyme. We ask for you to provide her with strength and her doctors with wisdom as she battles this disease.

Wrap your loving arms around her and Spencer and bring them healing.

In Jesus Name

Amen

Renee

will do my best

I will do my best to keep the emails a posting as usual. I have several biographies ready to go.

Unfortunately, my friends and I are in mourning right now. God took away one of his angels yesterday unexpectedly. Not a Lyme angel, but a very sweet lady who took the time to make sure that all of her dear "babies" (IE everyone) had eaten. A 40 year old lady that was friend to everyone she met. No one was a stranger and yet it was her time.

I'm so extremely saddened by this loss. I don't know how I will be able to not cry today at work when I see people that don't know. I suspect that we will hear a lot of "gasping" and "OH NO's."

Please pray for all of us.

Read about our very difficult day on my regular blog.

Need your input

As you see, I have already scheduled Featured Lymies all the way through July. So it makes me wonder should temporarily (or even permantly) feature Lymies three days a week instead of just the two?

As of this posting, I am Featuring Lymies on Wednesday and Saturday. So I was thinking that maybe I should Feature Lymies on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Then on Sunday recap all the Lymies of that week. So I need your input. Reason I am considering the change is that I'm booked up through July and I'd hate to start booking right away into August. 3 Lymies per week would give me 8 more slots for friends until I'd have to start booking into August.

So leave a comment as to what you guys think. I am so excited that this is taking off so well. If you don't see your name to the left or want to confirm that you are going to be a featured Lymie, leave a comment with your contact information. If that contact information is personal (IE: something you don't want everyone seeing), then click to post a message. Those messages are screened by Melody and me before we post them.

So the question is: Continue with two per week or go ahead and up the ante to three friends per week.

Prayers for Victoria E.

I pray for Victoria and all of us with this disease, especially the young ones who are missing things in their lives because of illness. I also pray that there will be a time when we can get the treatment we need without the problems and issues associated with it.

Thank You and God bless ,
Lisa Dorrell

Victoria's Biography

Our featured Lymie today is a young lady living in New Jersey. Victoria is only 15 years old who is struggling with the effects of Bartonella and Lyme Disease. She's been facing the illnesses for the last 9 years. It all started with pain in her back and neck. She hurt, but wasn't limited in things that she could do. She doesn't remember going to a doctor, but just living like that for a few years.

Victoria had a period of time where she had continued Strep Throat Infections for about 10 months. The reasons were unknown, but her ENT doctor prescribed her allergy medications which cleared things up. During this same time, she had an accident while Ice Skating and had a mild concussion. She believes it was this concussion that triggered everything to progress.

Over the past three years, she gradually had more and more symptoms. Victoria went to many doctors, none of which could give her answers or even appeared that they wanted to. She got the standard "it's all in your head" answer from MD's. This caused her parents to not believe her entirely. It was during this time in which she remembered being tested for Lyme Disease a lot. She started doing her research and was convinced that this is what was plaguing her.
Finally in June of 2007, Victoria saw a LLMD. Her blood work came back positive for Lyme Disease.

Victoria says, "Hope is really what has been keeping me going. Now I am on a mission to spread hope and inspire other people to never take 'I don't know' for an answer. You have to keep searching for the answers that you need until you are satisfied. Well, thanks for reading this. I hope this has opened your eyes-- even a little bit about the confusion of Lyme disease."

This is a pretty profound statement coming from a 15 year old girl.

Her biggest prayer request is that the endless pain stops. Victoria also faces
dizziness, constant headaches, fainting spells, seizures, twitching, wooziness, slow processing speed and other neurological problems. Please lift Victoria up in prayers along with her 12 year old brother, Oliver, who also has Lyme Disease. And in typical teenage fashion (love ya girl), her hearts desire is to be able to get married to the person she loves one day.

From Diana to Melody and Spencer with love in Christ

Dear Father,

Thank you for the beauty and the incredible gifts that you give to your children that can be lifted back to you in glory. Lord, the words of this precious praise song draws my heart right up against your will. You are Holy, Father and your rain is bittersweet. You are Lord God Almighty, our Protector, our Savior.

Lord you gave yourself fully to God for the love of your children. Thank you for the beauty of your character and the truth of Who you are. Thank you for promising a future and a hope with you one day when you decide the timing is just right. We know now that the plan is fully within your power. You promise that you will bring good from evil and that your power is made perfect in our weakness. You promise that once you enter into our hearts, to never leave us, Lord. You promise that there is nothing that we will be called into that others have not also come to understand; that we are not alone. Lord, we know this is a spiritual battle and that even though our bodies are caught in the midst, it is really against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Thank you Lord for reassuring us that you reign.

Lord, you have given Spencer a heart full of love and devotion for you and for Melody. You have given him strength to do those things that seem impossible, yet, you have carried him into each new day prepared to do whatever is needed to honor Melody and you. Lord, Spencer is suffering in his body and in his spirit too. I ask for your mighty power to help him stand strong on the Rock during this painful season. Fill his heart with an undying passion to fight the enemy that tries to steal and destroy what you have given to him and with a determination and discernment that guides he and his precious wife to safety and healing according your will for them. Father, the picture of Spencer carrying Melody reminds me of how you must carry us day after day, when we are weary, hurting, long suffering because of enemy ignorance. Bond the two so tightly together that the enemy flees out of fear.

Lord, I pray for Melody with love and understanding. Her body is sick from the reality of a pathogen and from the ignorance of this world. Please Lord, bring light into the darkness about this disease. Raise up doctors, thousands of doctors, who serve in their practices on behalf of the patient and who profess a faith in you Jesus. Call doctors who are your children, Lord, to see with their heart eyes wide open, what so many are choosing out of fear, to overlook. Do not let their minds be fooled as so many are, Lord. Open their eyes and make them instruments of your grace and peace to serve your people, not deny. Give them a spirit of boldness to stand up against the enemy and heal your people once again, Lord.

Father, I ask for your strength in Melody’s body, in her spirit and to her mind. This disease is exhausting and debilitating, Father and only you know the way out. Please draw Spencer and Melody close to you so that they know their Father’s will and way to go. Lord, thank you so much for family who do understand. Thank you for guiding their hearts and desires to help. Please make sure they know the truth of this disease so that they can be a blessing in the ways you call them to help.

Bring comfort and assurance to Spencer and Melody through this gift of hope and help put their minds and hearts at ease and in peace knowing that they do not have to go this alone. Bless the dear ones who love them.

I pray for Melody’s care and those who would help her body to be strong for the fight. Flow the channels of her organs, liver, heart, kidneys and all of the systems in her body into balance so that she can be treated in a way that helps her body fight these pathogens. Please provide, Lord, for their every need to be able to accomplish this through her treatments.

She is your sweet daughter, Lord. Thank you for the opportunity again, to know that more and more of your children are battling not just this disease, but the enemy, for the sake of the kingdom. Lord it is truly an honor to be chosen as one of your own. Help us to remember on the worst of days, that we belong to you and that you have already won the war. Be thou, Spencer and Melody’s vision, both day and night and bless them for their faithfulness and trusting obedience. Bring that joy and peace and chance to be free as your reward. Help us all to see that its just a little rain, Father.

In Your Precious Holy Name, Lord.

Amen.

Bring the Rain to Melody

I can count a million times
People asking me how I
Can praise You with all that
I've gone through
The question just amazes me
Can circumstances possibly
Change who I forever am in You

Maybe since my life was changed
Long before these rainy days
It's never really ever crossed my mind
To turn my back on you, oh Lord
My only shelter from the storm
But instead I draw closer through these times
So I pray

Bring me joy, bring me peace
Bring the chance to be free
Bring me anything that brings
You glory And I know there'll
be days When this life brings me pain
But if that's what it takes to
praise You Jesus, bring the rain

I am yours regardless of the clouds that may
loom above because you are much greater than
my pain you who made a way for me suffering
your destiny so tell me whats a little rain

[1st Chorus]

Holy, holy, holy
Holy, holy, holy
is the lord God almighty
is the lord God almighty
I'm forever singing

[2nd Chorus 2x]

everybody singing
Holy holy holy
you are holy
you are holy

[2nd Chorus 2x]

lifing Melody Up

Melody, your faith will make you well.
Our heavenly Father, please watch over our friends Melody & Spencer as they go through this trial together. Heal Melody's Liver so that she can utilize all the modern medicine that is offered to her through her Lyme Doctor. Please guide her Lyme doctor in knowing what is best for both Melody & Spencer. In Jesus name I pray, Amen

Melody, here is a scripture for you.

LUKE 8:43-48 NKJ
43 Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years,
who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and
could not be healed by any,
44 came from behind and touched the border of His garment.
And immediately her flow of blood stopped.
47 Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came
trembling; and falling down before Him, she declared to Him
in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched
Him and how she was healed immediately.
48 And He said to her, "Daughter, be of good cheer;
your faith has made you well. Go in peace."

Emergent Non-Lyme Prayer

Please fall to your knees right now and pray for Kayleigh and her family. She is a One Pound Blessing from God that has had many surgeries. Her most recent surgery was showing no problems and a blink of an eye took that away. Her most recent EEG has shown that her Cerebral Cortex is showing no brain activity. PLEASE PRAY FOR THE FREEMAN'S LITTLE KAYLEIGH. Please click their little button for updates and for news. God Bless everyone praying for this little miracle in North Carolina.

Melody's Biography

Melody is a close Lyme friend of mine. She found my Living the Lyme Life Blog and we've been buddies ever since. Melody is a 24 year old living in California with her husband Spencer. She has been diagnosed with Lyme, Bartonella and her LLMD suspects Babesia too.

Melody believes she's been living with Lyme since at least 2001. She was properly diagnosed recently in December of 2008. Since starting proper treatment, she has been bedridden for the last two weeks. Sitting up is extremely difficult and she can barely walk to the bathroom. Often Spencer has to carry her to complete her basic needs.

Melody has intense pain and her neurological symptoms that are getting more severe every day. She specifically needs prayers on knowing what's best to do about treatment. They are having trouble finding a balance between treating aggressively versus messing up her liver.
They need wisdom their financial and living situation too in making a decision to move 700 miles to be closer to family who can and will support them.

Her husband Spencer has been battling a four year long headache. He was also just recently positively diagnosed with Lyme Disease. Please pray that he can tolerate treatment and get relief from his headache.

Cat's Biography (FB)

My 25 year old friend Cat is from Charlottesville, Virginia. In the aspects of Tick Borne Illnesses, Cat has

1) Lyme encephalitis (aka neuro-Lyme, late stage Lyme, chronic Lyme)
2) Babesiosis
3) Bartonella henslae
4) Mycoplasma fermentans
5) Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever (we think we finally knocked this one out)

Because of the Tick Borne Illnesses, Cat also faces Bulls-eye rashes (at site of initial bite and during treatment, varying in shape, size, and location), Narcolepsy, Epilepsy, Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia, Neurally Mediated Hypotension, Hypothyroidism and Colitis

Background Information:
For the whole story visit my latest blog posted, written especially for the readers/prayer warriors on this site, to learn ALL about me, and (thanks to the complexity of my condition) a whole lot more about Lyme disease and its partners in crime!
Please view the special message for you here: http://difficultwoman.blogspot.com/2009/04/for-prayer-warriors-who-are-kind-enough.html

Here is the most condensed version of Cat's story. Her story is so compelling that to cut anything out would be a travesty so here it is in it's entirety. (I have separated the paragraphs a bit more, but here it is as Cat wrote it)

I've had Lyme for 22 years. I was bitten when I was three years old. The initial infection was "classic" - complete with a deer tick, bulls-eye rash at the site, swollen joints, fever, flu-like symptoms - the whole shebang. I was treated with IV ABX in the hospital for two days before my western blot came back negative and the doctors took me off the medication and started to look for other possibilities. Needless to say, they found nothing, and it was finally written off as a "late onset allergy to cephalosporins... which we now know it couldn't have been, because I have taken large doses of them via IV for Lyme.

Throughout my childhood, I was always sick. I picked up various other opportunistic TBDs, though we didn't know it at the time. It wasn't until college that a colleague of my dad's recommended taking me to an LLMD. I didn't buy it, but my dad was insistent and he got my mom involved too, so I gave in and went. What she found was startling. Though she was only ever able to give me six months of remission and diagnose two co-infections before she asked me to find a doctor who specialized in critical care Lyme patients, she did start me down the right path.

I'm still in the midst of a long and painful battle. I have frequent attacks of narcolepsy, Bell's palsy, every kind of seizure, constant pain in my muscles, joints, and bones, double vision, heightened sensitivity (to the point of superhero-like accuracy) to light, sound, touch, and vibrations. It can make me a bit irritable. I can't walk much, and I spend my days confined to my bed. Good days are when I can be wheeled out to the sofa to watch TV. I don't have many of those days, but I thank God for the ones I do. The symptoms and conditions in this paragraph are a few of the things I most need prayers for, but the longer version of this on my personal blog has more specific needs, if you want to learn more. I am grateful for whatever you choose to do -- thank you for your generosity.

Also, here are two specific prayer requests -- related indirectly to Lyme, but they are very heavy on my heart right now... they are also on my blog, but they were important enough to me that I wanted to put them here, too:

First, my boyfriend Phil, who is also my primary caregiver, needs his spirit lifted as much as I do mine. It breaks his heart to watch me suffer, and it breaks my heart to cause him pain. He has taken the best care of me that anyone could wish for these past three years, and I hope he will be blessed with the same level of healing for his heart that I need for my body. He has been my personal angel on earth, so please ask God to send his angels in Heaven to watch over him. I would also ask a little prayer for the rest of my support network as well... my family by blood, and my extended Lyme family; the people who have supported me and guided me through this, even while their own health failed. I am so blessed.

The other prayer I ask for is also related to my health. I recently found out I may have lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM... don't worry, even I can't pronounce the proper name -- and feel free to Google it; it's hard to explain briefly, though I tried). It is a genetic disease, passed from mother to daughter, exacerbated by pregnancy, which causes multiple lung collapses, cysts/tumors on the lungs, and eventually turns them to smooth muscle tissue. The only treatment at present is a lung transplant (once the lung or lungs are no longer functional), but the disease will eventually do the same thing to the new lung, so it only buys a few more years. The disease moves less aggressively when it is sporadic, more aggressively when it is inherited. My symptoms onset 15 years earlier than my mother's did, and her mother did not have LAM. So, with no cure in sight, this disease is always fatal. It robs you of the ability to have children, not only because you might pass it along, but because pregnancy accelerates the disease. Both of my mom's lung collapses happened shortly after she gave birth.

I am supposed to schedule tests for the disease as soon as possible, and though I have the orders I have not done it yet because I am so fearful of the outcome. A positive high resolution CT scan would clinch the diagnosis, but a negative one does not rule it out -- it would mean a lung biopsy, of one of the three cysts I currently have on my left lung. It would definitely cause the lung to collapse... and my left lung already collapsed twice, about ten years ago.

Please pray for my mother and I as we wait for these tests and their results. Please pray for our friends and family who are worried about our health. And please pray for us: that we take whatever news the tests bring us with grace, courage, and faith.

If you want to continue following my progress, please check out my blog, http://difficultwoman.blogspot.com/, which I update as frequently as my health allows.

God Bless You!
Cat

Prayer for Danny

Unto Thee O God, do I lift up my soul. You are so worthy of our praise. You are the One True King who makes all things
possible. Even in a broken world, Lord, you are moving on our behalf.

Danny has come such a long way from the onset of this disease, Lord. Thank you for being the Lord of his heart. For being with
him during those long and very frightening days and nights, and for your promises of your Word to his life and his future, that
have carried him to this day.

You are Holy, Father. I pray that you would continue to raise Danny for you glory and in the holiness of your Word. As he
matures, guide him to reflect your true character as a light for you in the lives of others.

Protect his heart so that he never doubts your love for him and so that he never forgets you.

You have chosen Danny for your beloved son and he has responded to you in faith.

Guide him in this next phase of his treatment, Lord and in the bent you have planned for his future. You know the desires of his
heart, Father. We pray and humbly ask for your blessing. Strengthen his body in a way that helps him conquer this disease and
keep him centered on you. Bless and prepare him for that day when you move him forward in his life towards his career and a hoped
for family.

Thank you for all the ways you have provided for Danny and his family. Thank you that your word is Danny's most impactful
medicine and for your promise to be his Rock and his Mighty Fortress.

Please use your Word as a lamp to guide Danny's feet at every crossroad and a light for the path that you have planned for him.
Make your truths known to Danny. Protect him from enemy territory and heal the places in his heart that have been broken and
impacted in a hurtful way, from this battle. Cover these with your mercy and grace, Lord. I pray that your spirit would nourish
his and that he would follow you all the days of his life.

Hide the things in Danny's heart that have taught him to trust in you alone, erase those that have no purpose otherwise and bless
him by adding to his faith.

In your Holy name. Amen.

Praying for Danny

Dear God, please hold my dearest friend Danny in your hands today. Heal his body as he fights all of his illnesses. Please help the doctors

Emergent Prayers for Shannon

The word Emergent means: calling for immediate action. I have found a call for Immediate Prayers while going through my Lyme Bloggers today.

Shannon from Ticks & Trust Blog is being rushed to the hospital today. She has an onset of severe and new symptoms. That in addition to her PICC line being possibly infected, her nurse has sent her to the hospital. Please pray for this blogger as she goes through some unknown stuff.

Shannon is back home for now. She has a cellulitis. PICC will stay for now, but if it doesn't get better in a few days ... she will have to get it pulled and another one put in.

Danny's Biography

Please Pray for Danny at 6pm EST (3pm PST) on THURSDAY April 16, 2009. Thanks to all who participate in Prayer Warrior Time for the Truth About Lyme Disease Forum Members. Tomorrow's Blessed Lymie is Danny from California. Here is his biography.

Danny, also known as Silver, created The Truth About Lyme Disease website and forum after his mom realized there was a need for an informational website on Lyme Disease.

Danny doesn't want to go through his current list of illnesses, but he has been diagnosed with Lyme, ehrlichia, and possibly bartonella. Of course the tests came back negative for the last two, but was clinically diagnosed with them and treated for them. His mother & father both have experienced the worst of the worst when it comes to Lyme Disease. They are all living in California.

Danny believes he may have had Lyme for his almost 20 years, but experienced a life threatening situation at the age of 7. He was admitted into the hospital and treated with IV antibiotics for precautionary measures since the doctors had no idea what was happening with his body. They utilized IV Keflex and his symptoms were eradicated within days of treatment of this mystery illness.

After this, Danny had odd things happen here and there until the age of 18. At the beginning of 2008, he woke up one morning with the "most wicked nausea and anxiety one could ever experience." Things got progressively worse. He felt like he was at the brink of death. Since then, he has been on almost all of the antibiotics at one point or another. He is currently being treated with IM Bicillin.

And even though he feels close to wellness, the remaining symptoms he has are still disabling.
The main symptoms he has left are the feelings of being in a dream, shocking pains, numbness, random nausea, concentration difficulty and awful headaches that make seeing tough. Danny wants to get up and over that final hill and to cross that finish line. He gives all his Glory to God :cross:
Danny wants everyone to pray that he can make it up over this final hill that's challenging him and that Danny is able to use his knowledge and experience to help others that are where he has been. Danny wants everyone to also pray for all those afflicted with lyme/co-infections including his my mom & dad. Danny desires for them to be fully cleansed and healed of any sickness and disease and for all his sisters and brothers in Christ at TALD, and that all of his loved ones (girlfriend, aunts, uncles, etc.) be healed as well.

And may 100% of that credit go to the healer himself, Jesus Christ. Without him Danny says, "I would have been dead long ago. "

prayer for Candice

Heavenly Father,
I lift Candice up to You. I praise You and thank You for loving her so much that no detail about her goes unnoticed - every cell, every breath, every thought of hers is cherished by You. Thank You for loving her so deeply. I pray that she would know and take comfort in the knowledge that You cherish and love her unconditionally. Help her to find peace and rest in You, even amidst such difficult, painful suffering.

Father, I pray that You would work in her struggling body - strengthen and protect every organ in her body. Please, in Your perfect will and timing, strengthen and nourish her body so that she can handle the treatment she so desperately needs to kill off these infections. I pray that You would grant her doctors, friends, and family wisdom and clarity on how to best care for her - surround her with people who are wise and compassionate who can minister to her and meet her needs.

In Jesus Christ's name,
Amen

love, Melody

A Prayer for Candice

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for bringing your child, Candice, into our community. I humbly ask that you grant her peace, healing, and happiness. Candice suffers from malnutrition; I ask you to nourish her body and her spirit. I beg you, take away the pain that the simple act of trying to eat causes her. Candice also has a heart that bears mentioning for two reasons, one figurative and one literal. The part that is figurative is that her heart that is filled with love and goodness, and we thank you for that because Candice enriches our lives. However, Candice's literal heart suffers from rhythms that are alternately too fast and too slow. She has pain that radiates from where her heart is. Please relieve these problems; please heal her.

Candice is a young, vibrant, spirited woman who finds the strength to give her love and support to others, despite the severity of her own struggles with Lyme disease and the havoc it has wreaked in her body for several years. Give her courage, hope, and most of all, freedom... from pain, disease, and all of the troubles that weigh heavy on her soul. She has big plans, and as her friend I look forward to the day when she is healed and can set her dreams in motion.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
Amen.

Dear Candice: you are already a survivor. Everyone you extend your heart to immediately adores you, with good reason. Your sweetness and concern resonates beyond the pain we all know you feel. Thank you for being a friend to me; a light during a dark time. I wish only good things for you.

Jesus Lives

1. When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

* Refrain:
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

2. Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
And hath shed His own blood for my soul.

* Refrain:
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

3. My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!

4. For me, be it Christ, be it Christ hence to live:
If Jordan above me shall roll,
No pang shall be mine, for in death as in life
Thou wilt whisper Thy peace to my soul.

5. But, Lord, ’tis for Thee, for Thy coming we wait,
The sky, not the grave, is our goal;
Oh, trump of the angel! Oh, voice of the Lord!
Blessed hope, blessed rest of my soul!

6. And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,
Even so, it is well with my soul.

Candice's Biography

At the age of 20, Candice is from California. I discovered Candice and her Lyme story after she found my Living the Lyme Life blog. We became fast Lyme buddies and I learn more and more about her story every day. Please pray with us as we pray over Candice over the next few days.

Candice has been touched in the worst way by Chronic Lyme Disease. She also suffers from Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Crohn's & Celiac Disease, Costochondritis and Dysautonomia.

Candice has been sick since she was 16 years old. She has trouble absorbing the things she eats which causes her weight to drop drastically. At her lowest weight, she was 83 pounds. For a frame of 5 feet 7 inches, this is very tiny. She also has heart problems, which is possibly related to the Lyme or the drastic weight loss, where she has Bradycardia and Tachycardia when she stands.

Candice has chest pain, left arm pain, jaw pain along with shortness of breath. Candice's biggest prayer needs are that her body will absorb the nutrition she needs soon. She also needs her brain, heart and other suffering organs to get stronger soon. About a year ago, she had to take a respite from school in her first year of college. Now she can barely walk and is bedridden. She rarely leaves the house except to go see LLMD's. She's on the waiting list for another LLMD who might be able to help her and is seeing a new doctor on Monday.

All of this of course has caused emotional and financial strain on her family so prayer requests are that her family can remain strong through all of these concerns.

If you would like to post prayers or messages for Candice, leave a comment.

So many Lymies & So little Time (announcement)

So I have done a lot of thinking over the few days. There are so many Lymies that I know on blogger, facebook, TALD forum that I feel that one Lymie per week is just an injustice to everyone. So I have decided to feature two or three Lymies a week (and if needed I'll go to a Lymie every day).

If you are on Blogger and have a Lyme blog and would like to be featured on one of the other days, please comment here so that I can be sure to add you.

From AMY

I am amazed and absolutely blown away. Thank you for these prayers. Amy

Lifting Amy up

Father, we come boldly to the Throne and lift up Amy and her daughter to you in prayer. We ask for total restoration of all bodily function, that the pathogens that plague Amy would vanish right now in your sweet name. We ask that you restore her daughter and that diabetes be gone in Jesus name. Your name is the name above all names, above Lyme Disease, above Diabetes and we know that by your stripes we are healed, in this we can rest assured, it is done. You said where two or more are, you are with them, as many of us pray right now for Amy and her daughter - free them from all symptoms and disease of their bodies and restore health from the top of their heads to the soles of their feet. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Dana, Paul & Danny

prayer for Amy

Amy, I don't have the words right now... but my mom just prayed this prayer for me and I'm going to pray it for you...

Father, bring rest and wholeness and peace to Amy right now - help her sense your presence with her and within her. Defeat the toxins and infections within her body with Your mighty power, Lord. May You be honored by any and all healing that takes place in her. In Jesus Christ's name, Amen.

Imagine our healing hands on you today as God promises to heal you as we all desire you to be well.

Our Heavenly Father,

Please know that it is our heart's desire that Amy be stripped of all her hurts, pains and illnesses. It's in our heart that Amy can be the mother she wants to be to her beautiful & smart daughter who also needs your healing touch.

The Lord and Amy

Dear Lord,

I am so grateful that Amy knows that you love her. Thank you for becoming the grace in her life that gives her the strength to fight this battle for your glory.

You are all knowing, Yeshua. We are learning to trust in your wisdom, your plan for each of our lives, in the midst of this insidious pathogen. Lord, I ask for strength to Amy's spirit and comfort that will bring a quiet peace in the chaos of what this world has permitted. We know that this disease is not from you. We know that it is the result of fallen man who has sold his soul out leading to so much suffering. Lord, our sister Amy, and we have 'souled' our souls out for you!

With you Lord, Amy is not without hope. I pray that you would continue to raise her up, to help her body to fight, for healing to her physical body and even more to her spirit, through this long suffering. You tell us that you will give abundantly, immeasurable more than we could ever know to ask for. Thank you Lord, because we cannot know fully your plan, nor just what we should ask - only that it would be in your will. Father, if it would be your will, please heal your two daughters - mother and child.

Please Lord, give Amy the rest she needs to care for her beautiful daughter. Protect them both. Destroy the enemy within. Draw Amy's little girl so very close to your refuge Lord, so that she can run and hide away under her Father's loving, secret place.

Please Lord, bring and surround them with people who would love, understand and help care for their needs. You know what they need and you promise to provide. Help Amy to know that you will not forget your word to her.

Thank you for your covenant promise to this precious mommy for her little girl.

And for your promise to Amy that you will never, never leave her.

Lord, we praise your Holy name. You came as a meek and gentle healer; but your power has been made perfect in weakness over and over. Thank you for that hope when we are called to suffering for the Kingdom. We hurt but we realize it is truly a high calling. Just help us to cope; help Amy to cope.

We praise the meek, bold, victorious, compassionate, dragon slayer Jesus that you are and we hold Amy to you with hope in our hearts for the wonderful things that you have planned for her life; for her daughter. Please give her precious memories to hide in her heart and a deep joy when she least expects it, so that her heart knows that it is you.

My regular blog is listed there too on page 195 after Praying for Lymies blog. You can zoom in on the director so you can read it better.

Praying for Amy

God, this week I lift Amy up to you. I know that you have a personal interest in her. I know that you care about how she feels. The pain that she goes through, you know that to. I cry out to you for healing in her life. That she may do the work that you called her to do, that of being a mother. Father God, mothers want to be there for their children. So right now in Jesus name I ask that you would bring a complete healing to her. I pray that she would be able to tolerate treatment well. That you would be honored by her life. In Jesus name amen.

Amy's Biography

Amy, also known as Amyloo from California, has been a member of our forum for the last 6 months. Amy is a Lyme Disease fighter and also struggles with the co-infections of Bartonella, Babesia and Ehrlichiosis. Amy has been sick the last four years.

Amy uses a wheelchair for weeks at a time, but has not been "confined" to one in a while. She uses it every now and then for assistance, but knows that it could happen again. She has horrid pain and feels as if she has toxic blood. She feels like she's just being poisoned and sick inside all the time. Amy currently has a PICC line (as most of us know is a peripheral IV inserted into a vein in the arm that goes straight to the heart) to give her the medication Rocephin. However the herx reaction she had was so great, they stopped her medication for a respite of a week.

Amy has a 13 year old daughter who lives with Type 1 Diabetes and is very brittle. Her daughter rides a roller coaster of blood sugar highs and lows and yet remains on the honor roll. Amy is extremely proud of her. Amy's daughter needs a healthy mom, but Lyme has taken that away.

Amy feels blessed that she is Lymie of the Week and wants to say "God Bless" to everyone that prays for her this week.

Prayer for a Friend

Casting Crowns ~

Lord I lift my friend to You.
I've done all that I know to do.
I lift my friend, to You.
Complicated circumstances
have clouded his view.
Lord I lift my friend up to You.

I fear that I won’t have the words
that he needs to hear.
I pray for Your wisdom , oh God.
And a heart that's sincere.
And Lord I lift my friend up
to You.

Lord I lift my friend to You.
My best friend in the
world, I know he means much
more to You.
I want so much to help him, but
this is something he has to do.
Lord I lift my friend up to You.

There's a way that seems so right to him.
But You know where that leads.
He's becoming a puppet of the world.
Too blind to see the strings.
And Lord I lift my friend up to You.

Lord I lift my friend to You.
I've done all that I know to do.
I lift my friend, to You.

My photo
I am living my life. I've treated Lyme, Bartonella, Candida and Heavy Metal Poisoning. My symptoms were drastically improved after 2 years of treatment. I did well for a year or two and then started having a backslide in August of 2011. I've been seeing my doctor since March 1 2007. I have severe D defiency, but my Iron levels are now normal (after Iron infusions). I'm treating with oral antibiotics currently for Lyme, Bartonella and Babesia. I'm living life as full as I can with the skills that I have and the love I receive. My recent labs showed a very weak immune system and low Cortisol. So we're fighting to bring that back up. Some therapies I'm using are IV Vitamin C, HBOT treatments and herbal remedies plus yeast fighting medicines along with medicines to boost cortisol levels. I've not used the HBOT in a while, but I found it helpful. I'm on a load of oral antibiotics again because the herbal remedies alone were not effective enough. Living life as full as I can with the skills that I have and the love I receive!
