Sunday Morning Ministry

2 Corinthians 4:8-10 We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. (NKJV)

Please go to his wonderful blog and read the message that he has prepared for everyone.

I know that a LOT of our Lyme friends have had extremely difficult weeks. Mr. Brent Riggs works extremely hard to put together a Sunday Morning Ministry for friends that are unable to go to church. This week's message seems to be targeted for US. Just read the scripture he used

Bridge Over Troubled Water ~ Michael W. Smith

When you're weary, feeling small,
When tears are in your eyes, I will dry them all;
I'm on your side. when times get rough
And friends just cant be found,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

When you're down and out,
When you're on the street,
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you.
I'll take your part.
When darkness comes
And pains is all around,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

Sail on silver girl,
Sail on by.
Your time has come to shine.
All your dreams are on their way.
See how they shine.
If you need a friend
I'm sailing right behind.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind.

Emergent Prayer for Shandy

I'm not sure what is going on with our dear friend Shandy, but please pray for her right now.

I saw a very disheartening message and I know she could use the extra prayers for strength and hope. So please lift her up.

Go read her bio and pray

Shandy here is some music for ya dear:

Molly's biography

Molly has always been somewhat "sickly" in that she got every flu and was just sick more frequently than most people. She had a feeling that this was not "normal". As the years passed, Molly got sicker more frequently and in her 40's she knew something was definitely wrong.
She was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and was told to "research the internet" and "learn to live with it".

Molly accepted this for a short time but then went to The Fibromyalgia and Fatigue Center in Troy, MI. After her doctor told her she did not have Lyme Disease, she read the test results herself in March of 2006 and found out she did indeed have Lyme Disease. Molly had her first appointment with her current Lyme Doctor in June of 2006. Molly's twin sister, who also have Lyme Disease, also sees him and they truly enjoy their doctor visits. Molly is blessed to have him in her life.

Molly, who will be 50 in June, is from South East Michigan. Molly has been diagnosed with Lyme Disease, Bartonella and possible Erlichiosis. Her major symptoms include include headache, IBS, Vulvodynia and Flu like symptoms. Molly also has pain in her joints, bones and muscles.

Just like Dr. B and Pam Weintraub, Molly is currently pulsing Ceftin. She has been in treatment for the last 3 years. She has been on Doxycycline, Biaxin/Amoxicillian, Cowden Protocol, Rifanmpin and the Rife Machine. Molly thinks she has been infected most of her life, but was correctly diagnosed in early 2006.

Molly's very worst symptom is vulvodynia. She doesn't like to talk about it alot because it makes some people uncomfortable, but she has very intense pain that she lives with every day.
It prevents Molly from wearing normal clothes and from doing many activities (like sitting down in certain chairs, biker riding etc).

Molly is slowly getting better and feels that within the next year or two she will achieve remission. Molly wants prayers that her pain will be resolved.

Music for Julie

Jeremy Camp ~ Walk By Faith

Will I believe you when you say
Your hand will guide my every way
Will I receive the words You say
Every moment of every day

Well I will walk by faith
Even when I cannot see
because this broken road
Prepares Your will for me

Help me to RID my endless fears
You've been so faithful for all my years
With the one breath You make me new
Your grace covers all I do

yeah, yeah , yeah, yeah, ya

well i will walk by faith
even when i cannot see
because this broken road
prepares your will for me

Well I'm broken- but I still see Your face
Well You've spoken- pouring Your words of grace

Well I will walk by faith
Even when I cannot see
Well because this broken road
Prepares Your will for me
(Repeat)
Well I will walk by faith
Even when I cannot see
Well because this broken road
Prepares Your will for me

Hallelujah, hallelu

I will walk by faith, I will walk by faith,
I will walk by faith
I will walk by faith, I will walk by faith,
I will walk by faith
I will walk by faith, I will walk by faith,
I will walk by faith
I will walk by faith
I will walk,I will walk Faith
I will walk, I will walk by faith

Julie's biography

Julie is a 36 year old mother from New York. She has Lyme Disease, Ehrlichiosis, Bartonella and Babesia. She is currently on Doxycycline and Biaxin. Her supplements are fish oil, vitamin C, pycnogenol, Cat's Claw and a multivitamin.

While Julie's symptoms are too numerous to name, she has mostly neck pain, weakness and general malaise. She also has arthritic like symptoms in her hands, headaches, heart palpitations, dental pain, chronic sinus and yeast infections. Julie also has severe neurological symptoms including brain fog, attention and focusing problems, panic attacks, anxiety, severe irritability, forgetfulness, extreme sensitivity to light and sounds. She also has had OCD as a teen and in her 20's. Julie has more symptoms and she could go on forever listing them.

Julie's mom and sister have both been recently diagnosed with Lyme disease after many years of suffering with pain and illnesses. Three of her four children have tested positive for Lyme Disease. Her fourth child has not been tested, but Julie's LLMD put all of her kids on supplements to build their immune systems including: Cat's Claw, Fish Oil, Tranfer Factor, probiotics and Vitamin C.

All four of Julie's children have chronic sinus and ear infections, some neurological issues. One has panic attacks, two have some level of behavioral issues, night terrors, history of "mono" or supposed mono even though they test negative for it.

Julie's prayer request is that they are all on proper treatment and medication and that her children won't experience any symptoms with the new medications. She wants complete healing for all of them. In addition, I have just found out that Julie found another tick on her daughter (On 5/20th). So please pray that there are no further complications from this tick bite.

He Reigns by Newsboys
It’s the song of the redeemed
Rising from the African plain
It’s the song of the forgiven
Drowning out the Amazon rain
The song of Asian believers
Filled with God’s holy fire
It’s every tribe, every tongue, every nation
A love song born of a grateful choir

It’s all God’s children singing
Glory, glory, hallelujah
He reigns, He reigns
It’s all God’s children singing
Glory, glory, hallelujah
He reigns, He reigns

Let it rise about the four winds
Caught up in the heavenly sound
Let praises echo from the towers of cathedrals
To the faithful gathered underground
Of all the songs sung from the dawn of creation
Some were meant to persist
Of all the bells rung from a thousand steeples
None rings truer than this

And all the powers of darkness
Tremble at what they’ve just heard
‘Cause all the powers of darkness
Can’t drown out a single word

When all God’s children sing out
Glory, glory, hallelujah
He reigns, He reigns
All God’s people singing
Glory, glory, hallelujah
He reigns, He reigns

Polly's Biography

Polly, a 38 year old Lyme patient, is from Tennessee. Polly thinks she's had Lyme Disease for many years, but her body crashed about one year ago. She was finally diagnosed with Lyme in November of 2008.

Polly's symptoms are endless, but some of the things that bother her the most are fatigue, headaches, brain fog, and brain sensitivity. She also has pain in her stomach, chest, jaw/neck and joints. She has bad autonomic dysfunction that is slowly improving.

Polly would like prayers for increased stamina. Summer is creeping up on us and she will be blessed with 5 children at home.

Polly presently takes a lot of medications to stabilize her body and brain. She currently has a PICC line and is on IV and oral antibiotics. Her treatment protocol also includes lots of nutritional supplements. One of Polly's sons also has Lyme Disease. She has concerns about several of the others. Please pray for her to have wisdom regarding their testing and treatment.

Polly says, "Thank you!!!"

Arise sung by Chris Sligh

Stars go down in the western sky
The light fades in as the darkness dies
Sunlight, sweet sunlight
Brings the day that You’ve created

Perfect remedy
For all that tears at me

Arise, arise with the morning
Arise, your mercies are new
Arise, arise with the morning
That finds me running back to you

Darkness comes and covers all my faults
Tears fall down, sting my wounds like salt
Hopes fade, till I’m caught
In the day that you’ve created

I’m anxiously waiting
Redemption is brimming
With stories created
Each new day
I know you are coming

Prayer for Nancy

Dear Lord hear our prayers for Nancy. If it is your will, please bring healing to Nancy. Please keep those nasty ticks away from her so she does not get reinfected. Help her make good decisions about her health and treatment plans. Please guide her physicians, as well.
Thank you, Lord, for hearing our prayers.

Nancy's Biography

Nancy (a youngster at 45) is one of my North Carolina cohorts in the Lyme Disease world. We have scheduled a time to get together, but it was ruined by North Carolina weather! Silly thunderstorms that spawn Tornadoes.

Nancy began having flu like symptoms in April of 2005. About 3 weeks later, she had the tell tale sign ~ the Bullseye Rash. A doctor put her on Doxycycline for three weeks. After completing the three weeks of antibiotics, Nancy went back to the doctor feeling like she had been hit by a bus. Her doctor graciously gave her three more weeks of Doxycyline, but she was still not better. Nancy went to another doctor who put her on more Doxy. Finally in late 05/early 06, she found Dr. J (the infamous one from NC/SC).

After speaking with his staff and tons of blood work, they have decided she has no co-infections. Nancy has just been diagnosed with Lyme Disease. She decided to do just oral medications. She was on them for 14 months. In July of 2007, she had a second tick bite. Nancy did several more weeks of Doxy. Nancy will always have some Lyme issues, but in general she feels well.

Nancy currently has Joint Pain, exhaustion and hearing issues. Nancy has four components to her treatment plan. She uses medication, nutritional supplements, a healthy diet and exercise.

Nancy's current prayer needs are that she can be strong and for her husband to find employment.

Music for Lauren

I’ve been searching
Wandering and hurting
Ashamed of the shape I’m in
Afraid you’ll see who I really am

But you invite me in
Doesn’t matter where I’ve been
Your arms are open wide
There’s nothing left to hide

How can this be
A love so unfailing
Reached down and lifted me
From ashes to beauty

And you invite me in
Doesn’t matter where I’ve been
Your arms are open wide
There’s nothing left to hide

You invite me in
Doesn’t matter who I’ve been
Your arms are open wide
Holding me to your side

Now I am walking away from the life I once knew
And running into your grace
It covers my shame again and again
I find my life in you

You invite us in
Doesn’t matter where we’ve been
Your arms are open wide
There’s nothing left to hide

You invite us in
Doesn’t matter who we’ve been
Your arms are open wide
Holding us to your side

Your arms are open wide

Music for Sarah

This road is anything but simple
Twisted like a riddle I've seen high and I've seen low
So loud, the voices of all my doubts
Telling me to give up, to pack up and leave town

Even so, I had to believe
Impossible means nothing to me, yeah

So can you lift me up,
Turn the ashes into flames
‘Cause I have overcome
More than words will ever say
And I've been given hope
That there's a light on up the hall
And that a day will come
When the fight is won
And I think that day has just begun

Somewhere, every body starts there
I'm counting on a small prayer,
Lost in a nightmare
But I'm here, and suddenly it's so clear
The struggle through the long years
It taught me to outrun my fears

Everything worth having, oh
Comes with trials worth withstanding

So can you lift me up,
Turn the ashes into flames
‘Cause I have overcome
More than words will ever say
And I've been given hope
That there's a light on up the hall
And that a day will come
When the fight is won
And I think that day has just begun

Oh, lift me up
Oh, lift me up
Oh, lift me up
Lift me up
Lift me up
Oh, Lift me up

Down and out is overrated
And I need to be elevated
Looking up is not enough
No, I would rather rise above

So can you lift me up,
Turn the ashes into flames
‘Cause I have overcome
More than words will ever say
And I've been given hope
That there's a light on up the hall
And that a day will come
When the fight is won
And I think that day has just begun

Oh, oh, oh, just begun
Lift me up, yeah, oh, oh, oh, yeah, now
Oh, oh, lift me up
Lift me up
Lift me up

Sarah's biography

*** this is the 100th post on Praying for Lymies *** How cool is that?

My dear Lyme friend Sarah is 18 years old and lives in South Carolina. We've been friends almost since the beginning of my Lyme Diagnosis. Sarah also has Babesia and Bartonella. As if those things weren't bad enough on their own, Sarah also has: Hashimoto's Thyroid Disease, Tachybrady-Cardia, POTS syndrome, Gastroparesis, Poly-neuropathy, Degenerative Disk Disorder, nerve damage to vagus nerve, and now Chiari 1 Malformation has been added to the list.

Sarah has constant pain and because she is non responsive to pain medication she gets no relief from this symptom. Sarah has severe Chronic Fatigue and severe insomnia. She seriously only sleeps a few hours every 6 days or so. Sarah has seizures, tremors, severe muscle spasms, memory loss, brain fog, dyslexia, fevers, migraines, severe light sensitivity, sound & vibration sensitivity, and temporary paralysis in lower extremities. Sarah knows she has more symptoms, but she can't remember them right now. Those symptoms are the ones that bother her the most.

Sarah sees an LLMD in New York. She is currently on IV abx and has been for the last 11 months. She takes abx for the Lyme and Babesia. They are going to focus on the Bartonella once they get the Babesia somewhat under control.

Sarah has been sick with Lyme for ten years. She went misdiagnosed for 8 of those years. She was finally clinically diagnosed by the alternative medicine doctor there in SC. Sarah took oral abx for a year until her stomach shut down. Then she went nine months on nothing. Then finally convinced her family that she needed to see an LLMD.

Due to the seizures caused by the Lyme in her brain, she went to see a neurologist. He found that Sarah has a brain deformity called Chiari 1 Malformation. Sarah is currently in NY right now seeing the Chiari Institute. She had an appointments from the 11th to the 13th. She's also saw her LLMD yesterday.

So Sarah asks if not for healing that you pray that God will give her the strength to withstand the difficult times. And as far as her new diagnosis goes, Sarah doesn't even know what to pray for there. So she asks that you will pray for the doctors and give them wisdom to figure out how to help the situation.

And last but certainly not least, Sarah asks that you would pray for all of the other amazing people she has been fortunate enough to meet that suffer from Lyme as well. She prays that they will receive healing, relief, and understanding as to why they were put in this position in their lives.

Through all of the hatred and anger Sarah has towards Lyme, she does owe God for giving it to her. For if Sarah was not chosen to live with this disease she would not know many amazing people, she would not have as much compassion for those in pain, and she wouldn't be as strong as she am today.

And she says,
"So to all my fellow Lymies, Keep fighting, for you are all stronger than you know! You all inspire me in your own way, and I thank you for making me laugh when I wanted to cry, and complaining with me when I needed to vent. :)"

Jennifer Update

I wanted to share with everyone about my microscope test that I had today.

To review, I had a Live Blood Cell Analysis in September of 2008 to see how my red & white blood cells were doing.

In September this is what we saw:

"In the wet sample, she saw Lyme Spirochetes as well as Lyme Cysts in my white blood cells. One blood cell she looked at had four or five cysts in it. They were floating everywhere and eating some of my red blood cells. While we were watching, we saw one spirochete break off one blood cell and swim towards another. We also so many spots of Yeast. She said that Lyme and Yeast were definitely a concern. We saw several bacterial blobs that looked like a bunch of spirochetes bunched together with like tentacles (she called them blebs)."

Today: Show much improvement. Most of the white blood cells were clear and functioning properly. We saw a few bacterial blobs, but they weren't Too Numerous To Count (TNTC) this time. We saw areas of Yeast, but it was no where near like the last time. The difference between the Wet Sample last time and this time were astounding. I'm definately improving.

Now the problem was that I still had Lemon Drop Red blood cells. This means that I have Bowel Toxicity. I don't know how they know this, but ... that's what it indicates. There were also several spots on the wet and dry sample that showed Liver Toxicity. I need to work on cleansing out these two areas. Although, I will likely always have Lyme cysts ... if we work on the Liver & Bowels, then the yeast and parasites should improve. My Red Blood cells last time were all on top of each other. Also some had missing parts (IE my iron was missing). This time, they were mostly all intact and spread out the way they were supposed to be. An occasional Red Blood cell showed the Lyme Spirochetes.

My follow up just consisted of things that we thought we could do to help detox the Liver & Bowel. Also we are thinking if we clear this things up that maybe my bump problem will clear up too. He's *never* seen my bump problem on any of his patients. Aren't I special? ;0

Onto my husband's microscope:

For some time, I've thought that my husband has Lyme Disease. The last few months he's gotten sick several times including a major bout of bronchitis, the stomach flu and also once his lip got really swollen out of no where. He's had symptoms the last few months that really lead us to concern so we scheduled a blood cell analysis for him today.

My heart is very heavy over what we saw on his slides. His biggest issues are Lyme Disease, Cardiac problems, Parasites and Lymphatic Issues. The doctor said they were number 4 out of the scale of 0 to 4 (with 4 being the most severe). His Adrenal functions were about the same as mine and his Lyme cysts were on the scale of 3. He also has Liver Toxicity. I wasn't in the office with him during his blood cell analysis as I was in my follow up appointment. We plan on getting him scheduled into see my doctor as soon as possible.

The problem is that it costs about 500 to go in for the first appointment and today we spent about 1325 on the credit card. That doesn't even include the supplements that I will have to pick up over the next few weeks. *sigh* Here we go again.

There's the update.

Prayers for Krissy and Jennifer

Lord, we lift up to you this day for healing, two of your faithful children..Krissy and Jennifer. We pray for their individual needs with Lyme disease and other health problems. We ask for your healing touch upon them and for an abundance of strength, wisdom, and love to be in their lives.

We give thanks for Jennifer’s dedication to this blog and the many people who are being prayed for because of her concern and faithfulness.

Emergent Prayers for Eileen

I do not know Eileen, but Renee posted this on her blog today. I felt it was urgent that I post it here as well. Please pray for Eileen.

"For those of you so inclined I would appreciate your prayers for a woman named Eileen who has late stage Lyme Disease. She was recently diagnosed and put on antibiotics. Her doctor took her off the meds I believe because he felt he needed to strengthen her immune system and detox her body ...and the Lyme bacteria has gone wild. She has ended up so ill that she was in the hospital and now has been put in a nursing home until she regains her ability to urinate, turn her head and neck, walk, etc. She seems to be getting worse and her local care doctor does not believe she has Lyme. She needs our prayers.

Thank you so much
Renee"

Jennifer's Biography

It was too weird to write about myself in the third person ... so first person it is:

I am a 33 year old Lyme patient from North Carolina. I struggled with a mysterious illness for 12 years before getting a diagnosis of Lyme Disease. I have been under treatment for Lyme, Bartonella and Candida. Heavy Metals are also a concern. I have had two treatments for the Heavy Metals, but am waiting for a special supplement to arrive at my LLMD's to help with it so that I don't have to endure IV Chelation.

I consider myself quite lucky in the fact that I lead a fairly normal life. I work full time and in the last few months have had fairly good health. It's been over one year since I've taken one antibiotic. That in itself is quite a blessing. I had a PICC line in for almost 7 months for supplemental treatments. These supplemental treatments have given me my health back.

I am currently on a few supplements. These help keep the bacteria in check while boosting my immune system. I am not out of the woods yet and will find out tomorrow through a microscope study how I am doing with my spirochetes and lyme cysts. After two full years of treatment, I finally received a CDC IgM positive blood work. It was nice validation to receive after many have said, "Are you sure you have Lyme?"

We are almost positive that my husband also has Lyme Disease. He has not been tested as we are vastly aware of the inaccuracies of the testing, but he will also undergo his first microscope test tomorrow. We are praying that we get answers tomorrow for the both of us.

Please pray for my health to continue to head in the correct direction and that all of my Lyme friends get the same kind of results that I have seen. It's hard to believe how far I've come in the last two years. I still have some bad days. On those bad days, my symptoms include: headaches, tingling in my legs and arms, eye floaters, dizziness, bumps near my old picc line site, itching, difficulty thinking and swelling of my joints. There are others, but those are the most "irritating" symptoms.

On another front, my husband has a job interview today. It would be a "lateral move," but it's more of what he wants to do. So please pray that he gets this job. :o)

Thanks to all of you for not only praying for me, but praying for all of my Lymie friends. My prayers are that this place brings peace to all that are involved.

Please visit my personal blog to find out more about me, my journey and how I live the Lyme Life.

Krissy's biography

Krissy is a 33 year old Lyme patient from Louisiana. Along with Lyme Disease, Krissy has also been diagnosed with Bartonella, Babiosis, Ebstein Barr Virus and Yeast Overgrowth. Each of these alone would created major issues, but together they are a very difficult beast to battle.

Krissy has 70 out of the 100 symptoms for Lyme Disease. Her most severe symptoms are severe neurological pain, headaches, brain fog, numbness and tingling. Accompanying these symptoms are knees that give out, feet that hurt all day, swelling and pain on the entire left side of her body just about every day. She has continued fatigue and nausea. All of these things combined causes Krissy Depression.

Another thing that weighs on Krissy's mind is that her 5 year old son also is being treated for Lyme Disease. Please pray for these two souls as they battle the illnesses that have ravaged their bodies, minds and spirits.

Our Hope Endures ... no matter what we go through Melissa.

*** Lyrics **** Natalie Grant

You would think only so much can go wrong
Calamity only strikes once
And you assume this one has suffered her share
Life will be kinder from here
Oh, but sometimes the sun stays hidden for years
Sometimes the sky rains night after night
When will it clear?

But our Hope endures the worst of conditions
It's more than our optimism
Let the earth quake
Our Hope is unchanged

How do we comprehend peace within pain?
Or joy at a good man's wake?
Walk a mile with the woman whose body is racked
With illness, oh how can she laugh?
Oh, 'cause sometimes the sun stays hidden for years
Sometimes the sky rains night after night
When will it clear?

But our Hope endures the worst of conditions
It's more than our optimism
Let the earth quake
Our Hope is unchanged

Emmanuel, God is with us
El Shaddai, all sufficient
We never walk alone
And this is our hope

But our Hope endures the worst of conditions
It's more than our optimism
Let the earth quake
Our Hope is unchanged

Edited to write a note to our fellow Lymies, I picked this song for Melissa on 5/1/09. On 5/3/09, Melissa sent a request that I use this song for her. How awesome is our God that he would place the very song in my heart for her that she wanted? :) Our God is an Awesome God!

Melissa H's Biography

Melissa H, a 36 year old Lyme patient, lives in Virginia. She's been diagnosed with Lyme and Babesia. Her LLMD thinks that she probably has had Lyme since her childhood, but of course there's no way to really tell. In 1997, Melissa was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Shortly later in the year 2000, she was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. Both seemed to go away after about a year.

In July of 2007, Melissa began to have a severe headache. There was absolutely nothing that would decrease the pain so her doctor gave her a shot of steroids. (us Lymies are going *gasp* right now) Her headache went away, but it brought back Melissa's Fibro symptoms and they were very severe.

Once again, a specialist in Pittsburg diagnosed her with Fibromyalgia, but after she failed to get better with treatment he suggested that she get tested by IGeneX for Lyme Disease. Her test was positive and she didn't realize the long journey ahead. Upon starting Doxy, all of her Lyme symptoms came to surface: Dizziness,Insomnia,
weak,flu-like feeling, muscle spasms, tingling, twitching, rapid heart beat, all over muscle PAIN, ringing in ears, sensitive to sound, sensitive to smells and was bedridden for the summer of 2008.

In Oct 2008, Melissa had a picc line put in for 4 months. She should have had it longer but she could not financially keep the IV's. So now Melissa is on oral pulsing antibiotics, but she is in pain every day!

Melissa is married with two children. She would like to ask prayer from you all. Melissa desires relief from the pain and for her faith to stay intact. Please pray for guidance on which protocol is best for her and pray for Comfort and Hope that she is going to get better. Melissa wants her life back so she can be the mom and wife she needs to be! She is praying for all the other lymies that are going through the same thing. She wants knowledge and research from the doctors for this awful disease.

Melissa wants to send a special Thank You to her mom for getting her through this as much as possible. And a special Thank You to her online Lymie friend Valinda who is going on this journey with Melissa! God Bless You All!

Prayer for Melisa L.

This is a prayer said at every Jewish service for the well-being of others:

Mi she-bei-rach a-vo-tei-nu.

M'kor ha-bra-cha I'i-mo-tei-nu.
May the source of strength who blessed the ones before us
Help us find the courage to make our lives a blessing
And let us say, Amen.
Mi she-bei-rach I-mo-tei-nu.

M'kor ha-bra-cha l'a-vo-tei-nu.
Bless those in need of healing with r'fu-a sh'lei-ma;
The renewal of body, the renewal of spirit;
And let us say, Amen.

I hope Melisa begins to feel better very soon, she does not deserve to be as sick as she is. I look forward to the day when she is completely well.

Love,
Lyudmila & Danny

(Thank you to Lyudmila & Danny for posting a prayer. Everyone remember all you have to do is click post to blog up above to post a prayer).

Johnny's Biography

Johnny is a 56 year old Lyme Patient. He got infected in 1999 in Long Island. After 7 years and 30 doctors, Johnny finally sought help from an LLMD. He also got the news that he had a positive blood test for Lyme Disease and had endured brain damage.

Johnny feels fortunate to have found Dr. G from New Jersey that has helped in greatly since 2006. He uses a combination of Oral therapy and a lot of supplements. He has learned a great deal from internet support groups and talking to many Lyme patients.

The symptoms that are currently bothering Johny are dizziness, muscle twitching, fatigue, panic attacks, vibrations and neurological things. Johnny especially needs prayers for wisdom on how to deal with Lyme Disease on a day to day basis.

Johnny is fighting now for future Lyme patients and kids that have Lyme. He really feels for them the most because they are so young. As all Lymies feel, he is angered by the pain caused by the medical boards. It is horrific and should not be allowed to go on. He made a promise to himself and to God that he will be a Lyme advocate till his very last breath. Johnny feels very connected and very sad for everyone suffering from this illness.

Because of Johnny's passion for those with Lyme Disease, he has created a place for Lymies to go called Lymies "R" Us.

Shandy's Biography

Our Lyme friend Shandy is 26 years old from Massachusetts. Shandy is facing both Lyme Disease and Mycoplasma. She tested negative for all co-infections, but she could very well have both Bartonella and Babesia.

Shandy's mystery illness started she became pregnant with her daughter. Until her pregnancy, Shandy had been blessed with pretty good health. After she gave birth to her daughter, her health became worse. Shandy was bedridden and unable to take care of herself or her children.

Since no one knew what was wrong with her, her doctors gave her the labels of crazy, Postpartum and anxious. She could barely walk or get of bed to even go to the bathroom. After 14 months of researching day and night to find the cause of her sudden and mysterious illness, she finally got answers she was so desperately needing. Two years later, she is still mostly bedridden and home bound. However, Shandy is still fighting and has made improvements.

Shandy's biggest concern is her neurological symptoms. Those are the biggies that keep her bedridden and unable to function. This is where she would really like improvement. She's had constant brain pressure the last two years which makes it difficult to function. The dizziness and lightheadedness that plagues her daily. When Shandy does walk, she often veers to the left and feels unbalanced. She feels like the ground is uneven or like I am constantly on an elevator. Her body never feels steady or stable even if it appears so to the outside world.

Shandy feels a constant pain throughout her entire body and muscles. She feels disoriented, woozy, toxic, memory difficulty, word recall troubles, has blurry vision, floaters in both eyes and exertional malaise (even from very little activity such as walking to the bathroom). She experiences tachycardia of the heart and heart palpitations on a daily basis. These are only a few of her symptoms. All of these things cause depression, anxiety, fear, obsessive thoughts and paranoia.

Shandy's prayer needs are for her self, her children and her wonderful fiance. He has taken care of her every day since she mysteriously got sick. He has never once left her side, but as we all know ... the effects of watching the one you love sick just takes it's toll. He has the world on his shoulders right now and Shandy asks for the joy and hope to be let back into his heart. Shandy's fiance has sacrificed everything for her and this family and he deserves some major props.

Shandy's son also has Lyme Disease. Please pray for him so that he would be able to go back to school full time and to never have to deal with this again. Also for the trauma of seeing his mommy so sick to be lightened from his heart and mind. Prayers for everyone Shandy works with to be guided divinely to her proper treatment.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

Prayer for Melisa

In His love from Bear, Diana and Heth Holtry

Dear Lord,

TY for the beauty, the rain today and your will to make all things possible. We praise you for the ways that you are helping us to grow in grace b/c of your gift of Jesus and His Spirit in us to believe.

Lord, you are the ancient of days and the One true God who can rescue your people from the depths.

I pray for your precious daughter, Melisa, Lord, and I ask for your loving mercy as she battles the bacterias in her body.

Lord, bring this horrendous reality into the light and heal your people.

We know that our bodies are wearing and that your greatest desire is for the health of our souls; but, we know that anything that is not of you is from the enemy. Please bring answers through wise scientists and doctors quickly, Lord, and stomp on the head of that snake. Give strength to Melisa while she waits, Lord.

It is so hard to muster the energy through pain and exhaustion from this disease. Melisa is like Heather, Lord. They are young and ready to go for you. We know that you can use these beautiful women, even in their suffering; but You tell us we can come boldly before your throne bringing our praise and our pleas to you. I ask you to help Melisa’s body to heal and to use this doctor or whomever you know can best serve and help her.

Please make sure she does not become discouraged and give her the perseverance to keep pressing through. Comfort her and give her hope for that precious day she and so many others desire to see; a time when they too, can move forward with their lives in a way that continues to do your will, serve your kingdom; but with a stronger body and mind, free from these pathogens. It is our hope, too, Lord.

I pray for every person battling this disease, those who are part of our prayer family here and those that we know and do not know. Move your Spirit into their lives so that they can hold firm to a true, living faith.

In Your precious, Holy name, Amen!

That's not the beginning of the end
That's the return to yourself
The return to innocence.

Don't be afraid to be weak
Don't be too proud to be strong
Just look into your heart my friend
That will be the return to yourself

If you must, then start to cry

Don't give up and use the chance
To return to innocence

Melisa

Dear Lord

We bring before you Melisa and her struggle with Lyme Disease. We ask that her stomach will settle down so that she can take the meds she needs and that her body will accept IV’s when the time comes. Bring her strength to fight and beat this devastating disease.

In Your Name

Amen

Renee

Melisa's Biography

My Lyme friend Melisa and I have been friends for quite a while now. We have met in person a few times including watching in the theatre Under Our Skin. Sadly, we were in separate rooms to watch this documentary. I convinced Melisa to see my own LLMD and he's working her extremely hard to get well.

Melisa is a 20 year student from North Carolina. She goes to Appalachian State. She has unique challenges as a college student. Melisa is fighting Lyme, Brucella, Babesia and Bartonella. She believes she has had these things for 12 to 14 years.

Melisa (with one S) has many symptoms, but the things that give her the most struggles are terrible night migraines, being easily tired, memory problems and the loss of muscle control. Our LLMD is fond of lots of antibiotics and supplements so Melisa is on a lot of pills. These pills that kill everything that need to be killed make Melisa grossly nauseated. She is anxiously waiting the day she can eat sugar and unhealthy foods again as a normal college student can. They are considering IV treatment in the summer time.

Melisa not only wants prayers for her to feel better, but wants other Lymies to feel better too.
As far as Melisa is aware, none of her family members have contracted these tick borne illnesses.

Please pray for my dear friend.

An Update On Two of our Featured Lymies

Lisa's Bio - 3/27/09
1. Lisa's biggest prayer need is for overall healing.
2. Want to contact Lisa? You can find her right here
3. To everyone from Lisa: "I would like to say to those praying for me ,not only thank you but all of you are in my prayers also! I love you and pray for all my friends every night. I hope we are all healed someday, and someday soon."

Cat's Bio - 4/18/09

1. Cat's biggest prayer need at this moment is that she will be strong enough to endure her treatment. Cat's recent downturn is reminiscent of the one that forced her to take a less aggressive approach (switching from high dose IV to low dose oral ABX). She knows that if her blood work reflects her symptoms, her doctor will have to make changes to protect her life. Cat wants to keep fighting... She doesn't want to have to back down again to save her precious organs.

2. Cat has a blog: http://difficultwoman.blogspot.com/

It centers around her Journey: the entire adventure given to Cat by God. She talks about her blessings, battles, Lyme, life, and what it means to be a warrior. It can be raw; She tries to be honest, even when that means showing her fear and bitterness. But Cat also tries to amuse, inform and inspire. The more hits Cat receives, the more compelled she feels to write in spite of the pain. So if you'd like to stay updated, Cat hopes you'll stop by.

3. To everyone written by Cat: To everyone who was kind enough to include my name in their prayers, be they written, spoken, or just deeply felt: I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Knowing that people were lifting me up eased the pain of a difficult week for me -- I laughed more easily, cried less often, and felt more optimistic. God bless you for reaching out to me through Him.

My photo
I am living my life. I've treated Lyme, Bartonella, Candida and Heavy Metal Poisoning. My symptoms were drastically improved after 2 years of treatment. I did well for a year or two and then started having a backslide in August of 2011. I've been seeing my doctor since March 1 2007. I have severe D defiency, but my Iron levels are now normal (after Iron infusions). I'm treating with oral antibiotics currently for Lyme, Bartonella and Babesia. I'm living life as full as I can with the skills that I have and the love I receive. My recent labs showed a very weak immune system and low Cortisol. So we're fighting to bring that back up. Some therapies I'm using are IV Vitamin C, HBOT treatments and herbal remedies plus yeast fighting medicines along with medicines to boost cortisol levels. I've not used the HBOT in a while, but I found it helpful. I'm on a load of oral antibiotics again because the herbal remedies alone were not effective enough. Living life as full as I can with the skills that I have and the love I receive!
